Process Machine Technician; 1st Shift

Overview

A Process Technician will work for Dutch Farms Organics to process and package eggs to the highest standard of quality while contributing to their specific task of achieving plant production targets. The job will mostly include the operation and maintenance of company assets. This position operates on the first shift, primarily Monday - Friday with some Saturdays required.

Responsibilities include:

• Follows all Food Safety and Quality Procedures including but not limited to HACCP requirements, GMP, Food Defense, and Food Security, and escalated through appropriate channels
• Setting up egg grading machines to start production cycles (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
• Ensure all materials are readily available
• Carry out production, inspection packaging, and machine operation duties
• Monitor production equipment via company software
• Verify output to spot any machine-related errors
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Change equipment tooling as needed
• Perform all product verification to ensure equipment is producing eggs to the highest quality
• Perform pre-assembly production setup as required
• Adjust equipment to operate in a manner that maximizes throughput
• Ensure product and process quality through appropriate inspection and packing process
• Maintain efficiency and follow safety protocols at all times
• Perform appropriate duties as assigned
• Perform minor equipment repairs
• Make recommendations on equipment settings and PMs

• 2–5 years working in manufacturing industry. Preferably food manufacturing
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a machine operator
• Familiarity with processing equipment
• Experience working in cold environment
• Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
• Ability to successfully communicate and work in a team setting
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Ability to understand statistics
• Operate and maintain all power industrial trucks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
