Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay: $45-$48 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 40-50 hours per week, with some Saturdays
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our Chicago team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance within industrial settings.
You will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery critical to our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Repairs: Perform repairs on machinery, including mechanical components, electrical systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Machine Setup & Calibration: Set up and adjust machines according to production specifications, ensuring proper calibration and operation.
- Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, integrating it into the production line efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and provide support or training to other team members as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred
- 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical expertise
- Proficiency reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience in machine setup and calibration
- Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
