Plant Supervisor
- Food Commisssary Manager

Chicago, IL

$41.11 to $52.89 per hour

Core Responsibilities
  • Direct day-to-day activities to guarantee the facility operates with maximum safety and efficiency.
  • Guide and organize team members to uphold high productivity levels and achieve key operational targets.
  • Keep a close watch on all machinery and equipment to ensure they function correctly and organize repairs when necessary.
  • Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly implementing and monitoring regulatory compliance protocols.
  • Supervise the procurement of necessary materials and track inventory levels to ensure production requirements are met.
  • Evaluate production metrics and data to pinpoint opportunities for process optimization and operational growth.
  • Proactively manage and settle production obstacles and staff-related issues to keep workflows smooth.
  • Work alongside cross-functional departments to ensure plant activities are fully synchronized with broader organizational goals.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated history of effective leadership and management within a manufacturing or industrial facility.
  • Comprehensive grasp of plant-based production workflows, including the maintenance and operation of specialized machinery.
  • Proven capacity to handle and organize various competing priorities within a high-speed, demanding environment.
  • Deep familiarity with industry-standard safety guidelines and best practices for plant operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively inspire and lead a diverse workforce.
  • Competence in utilizing digital systems and software platforms for tracking operations and generating performance reports.
  • Strong analytical mindset to help the team implement effective solutions to operational problems in a timely manner.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is standard, while further relevant education is viewed as an advantage.
