Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media (e.g., search, social, mobile, display, and video media).
  • 5 years of experience creating and presenting customer‑facing materials (e.g., pitches, narratives, or one‑sheets) for sales teams.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience working with CXO/executive stakeholders (Director‑level and above) to develop and deliver impactful thought leadership and strategic insights.
  • Experience working with AI, Ads, and technology innovations, translating these into relevant insights for Chief Experience Officer (CXO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and various cross‑industry groups.
  • Understanding of business issues, with the ability to easily link CXO topics and agendas to actionable strategic insights, brought to life by market‑leading storytelling.
  • Ability to challenge executive audiences with data‑driven insights.
  • Ability to think expansively to distill the big picture from the detail, driving excellence in insights generation and dissemination.

As the Strategic Insights Lead you will define and execute vertical’s strategic insight and thought leadership program, creating impactful and innovative customer engagement for our most strategic customers within the industry.

In this role, you will partner closely with Sales Leadership to align our thought leadership and insights strategy with business objectives, ensuring it delivers maximum value and strengthens long‑term customer relationships. You will drive continuous innovation in research methods, insights formats, content, and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Curate and deliver forward‑looking strategic sales and business storytelling that aligns with Google's business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead the development of innovative strategic insights and narratives (including formats, content, and research) that resonate with C‑suite audiences and maximize impact.
  • Collaborate closely with executives, sales leadership, and relevant cross‑functional teams to understand strategic priorities, industry challenges and trends, and translate these insights into high‑value thought leadership.
  • Forge strong partnerships with sales leadership to ensure insights strategy delivers against sales objectives and oversee the development of insightful content, industry trends, and bespoke research that enhances Google's thought leadership.
  • Drive agile delivery of insights to respond to market shifts, innovate to lead, and meet evolving priorities while continuously optimizing the effectiveness of insights programs to maximize Return on Investment (ROI) and long‑term impact.
