Volunteer needed to Lead Northside Neighborhood Walking Tour for Hostel Guests
HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that brings travelers together through hostels, tours, experiences, and cultural learning programs. We reinvest surpluses into our hostels and programs to increase impact year after year.
Eligibility
: MUST BE A RESIDENT OF CHICAGO OR THE CHICAGO AREA TO APPLY.
We offer tours and outings for hostel guests who want to see and experience Chicago. This is a great opportunity to meet and engage with people from around the world. We invite you to contribute your area of expertise to curate a weekly northside Chicago neighborhood tour. We are seeking walking tour guides for areas such as Andersonville, Wrigleyville, Wicker Park, Logan Square, Rogers Park, and more.
We are seeking a volunteer who knows the area well and can share with guests the history that has shaped the neighborhood. The volunteer would develop a tour focusing on culture, murals/public art, and/or food. The volunteer would meet guests at our hostel in the Loop, then take them on the CTA to the neighborhood and lead the tour.

SCHEDULE
We are looking for a 1.5 hour – 3 hour tour/outing on any of the following days:
Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sundays. This event would be recurring weekly or monthly.
PURPOSE/DEFINITION and HI USA MISSION
HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education association. Our purpose is to "inspire a deeper understanding of people, places, and cultures for a more tolerant world." Revenues from overnight stays and memberships are reinvested in mission delivery.
