The Nursing Supervisor, or RN Supervisor, manages staff nurses and other healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient and effective patient care. They oversee daily operations, monitor patient care, and implement improvements, acting as a link between nursing home management and clinical care teams. Key responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring quality of care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
Experience in a relevant clinical setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage staff and resources.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Computer proficiency, including electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Essential Duties:
Directs and supervises the professional nursing staff and auxiliary personnel engaged in rendering patient care in various assigned units/departments/divisions; ensures CNA's work schedules are completed, and make changes as deemed appropriate and necessary. Ensure that all aspects of resident care plans are implemented and maintained. Ensures the resident and employee environment is as free from accidents and hazards as is possible.
Ensures that all elements of the facility's Abuse and Neglect policies are maintained and and enforced.
All other duties as assigned.
