• Daily Documentation:
  Accurately record a patient’s medical history and daily observations.
• Physician Order Management:
  Transcribe physicians’ orders to MARs and notify pharmacy of new orders.
• Medication Administration:
  Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, including injections, prescribed medications, enemas, etc.
• Vital Sign Monitoring:
  Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Patient Observation & Monitoring:
  Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side‑effects of medications, and monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output.
• Charting:
  Accurately compose and maintain patient charts.

  Activities:
  
  Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.
• Basic Medical Care:
  Clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
• Sample Collection:
  Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Emotional Support:
  Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Family Communication:
  Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
• Other Duties as Assigned:
  Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License within the state of Illinois (required).
• Compassionate and patient, with the ability to remain calm in a demanding environment.
• Experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it.
