Salary
: $40.53/hr to $88.53/hr final rate offered will be determined by the collective bargaining agreement, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints.
Illinois Residency Requirement
:
Illinois residency within 180 days of the hire date is required.
Administrative Nurse I directs patient care, related unit activities, and personnel on an assigned shift utilizing the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model. The role identifies work priorities, coordinates daily assignments, schedules staff, and leads quality improvement initiatives. Through therapeutic relationships, the nurse serves as a role model who directs patient care and fulfills unit and organizational goals.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and update the patient’s plan of care based on ongoing assessment and input from family.
- Advocate for patients, families, significant others, community, and the nursing profession.
- Integrate evidence-based practice, current standards of practice, and clinical experience to provide quality patient care.
- Identify recurring clinical practice problems and participate in problem solving and resolution.
- Assist with unit-based quality/research initiatives and provide feedback and education to staff.
- Maintain knowledge of patient status to assist nursing and medical teams and direct workflow for timely admissions and discharges.
- Assume charge nurse role when assigned, utilize resources and tools, and serve as a resource for unit personnel.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, conflict management, and customer service skills as a role model and problem solver.
- Procure clinical supplies and equipment and follow up on repairs and maintenance.
- Contribute feedback to performance evaluation of unit personnel.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Registered Professional Nurse licensure in Illinois (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation).
- One (1) year of RN experience required.
- Current AHA BLS/CPR and other required unit specific certifications.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the-job training.
- Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills, and work history required.
