Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago provides superior pediatric care; we rank #1 children’s hospital in Illinois. This position is for a Night Shift RN (7 pm–7 am, 12‑hour shifts, every other weekend).
Job DescriptionAs an RN at Lurie Children’s, you will provide compassionate, high‑quality patient care and support other nursing staff. You will help maintain a child‑friendly environment and collaborate with a world‑renowned pediatric team.
Minimum Qualifications- BSN, RN or higher. ASN allowed if one will return to school for a BSN within 2 years.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois, active and in good standing.
- Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- 1 year pediatric experience, plus 1 year inpatient acute care/hospital experience strongly preferred.
- Charge or preceptor experience is a plus.
- Full Time – Night Shift: 7 p‑7 a, 12‑hour shifts, every other weekend.
- 8–10 weeks (first week: hospital orientation).
- Orientation on all shifts, beginning with day shifts.
- Hands‑on experiences within orientation hours.
- Mandatory classes: PALS, ACLS, PPE training.
