Overview:

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Nurse to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents through restorative nursing practices. As a Restorative Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and overseeing individualized care plans aimed at promoting independence, mobility, and overall wellness.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess residents' needs and develop comprehensive restorative nursing care plans.
  • Implement restorative nursing interventions to promote and maintain residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Provide hands-on assistance, guidance, and education to nursing staff on proper techniques for transferring, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
  • Monitor residents' progress regularly and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Document all interventions, progress, and changes in residents' condition accurately and timely.
  • Conduct regular assessments of mobility, range of motion, and functional abilities, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate with rehabilitation therapists to integrate restorative nursing activities with therapy goals.
  • Educate residents and family members on restorative nursing programs and strategies for maintaining independence.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment conducive to restorative care practices.
  • Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in restorative nursing and incorporate them into clinical practice.
  • Qualifications:
  • Current RN or LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Knowledge of restorative nursing principles and techniques.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
