The Nurse Clinician works in a multidisciplinary environment that requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, and administrative units.

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide pre-attending care, performing comprehensive assessments of chief complaints, and documenting all nursing assessments.
• Perform routine nursing duties independently, including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital sign measurements, and lab specimen preparation.
• Interpret abnormalities detected in tests and procedures, and take remedial action while documenting interventions.
• Communicate and collaborate with clinical and administrative departments and outside agencies as needed.
• Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organization protocols, operating emergency equipment.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians, delegating tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants.
• Comply with all patient care policies and recommend improvements to management.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education, ensuring patient understanding and demonstrating return demonstration.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (may be required for certain positions).
