Circulating Nurse

Pay range: $70.00/hr - $75.00/hr

Shift: Day Shift | 5×8 hours (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to support a Level I Trauma Center in a high-volume surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub and circulating experience
, the ability to manage complex surgical cases, and flexibility to meet mandatory floating and on‑call requirements.

• Practice Setting: General OR and Trauma
• Trauma Level: Level I (experience required)
• Charting System: Cerner (preferred)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue (provided)

• On-call requirement:
  One 12-hour weekend call shift per month (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• No weekday call
• Mandatory floating within scope to meet facility needs (up to 50 miles)

• Perform scrub and circulating duties for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Provide perioperative nursing care in trauma and general OR settings
• Prepare operating rooms, ensure sterile technique, and maintain surgical safety standards
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures
• Accurately document intraoperative care using the electronic medical record
• Respond effectively to emergent and trauma cases
• Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Active Illinois RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR experience
• Strong scrub and circulating skills
• BLS certification (required)
