. The Family Birth Center provides a customized birth experience offering private triage, delivery and antepartum suites, natural birthing suites with hydrotherapy tubs and operating rooms for cesarean births.
A Staff Nurse is a registered professional nurse (RN) who manages patient‑centered care that is outcome‑directed. Patient‑centered care principles and professional nursing practice standards provide the foundation for the nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care provided. The staff nurse assumes primary responsibility and accountability for all patient care personally provided and that provided by those directly under her/his supervision.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); ADN nurses required to enroll in a BSN program within 6‑9 months of hire and to complete their BSN degree within 30 months. ADN nurses receive 100% tuition reimbursement toward a BSN degree from an accredited program
- Current Illinois RN license
- Active BLS certification
- Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Full‑time, 0.9 FTE
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, every other weekend required

Base pay range: $40.00 /hr – $74.00 /hr. Compensation and benefits are detailed in the UChicago Medicine benefits package for eligible roles.
