DescriptionRegistered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced medical interventions. The ICU nurse assesses patient conditions, monitors vital signs, and manages life-support equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps. They administer medications, perform complex nursing procedures, and respond rapidly to medical emergencies. The role involves collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for this position.
RN ICU
Shift: 3x12s, 7a-730p. No block scheduling
Call Requirements: N/A
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month
RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive days. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
ICU RNs will float between numerous ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU. If needed to support staffing, ICU RNs may be asked to float to MS units. The first week (orientation and precepting shift) will be on the day shift.
