SalaryThe previously determined range for this position was $40.53/hr to $88.53/hr*. The final rate offered will be determined by the collective bargaining agreement, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints.
Illinois ResidencyThis position requires Illinois residency within 180 days of the hire date.

Position SummaryAdministrative Nurse I directs patient care, related unit activities and personnel on an assigned shift using the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model to ensure quality patient care and workflow. The Administrative Nurse I is responsible for directing the nursing service of an assigned unit, with responsibility for implementation and modification of patient care plans.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develops, implements, and updates the patient’s plan of care based on ongoing assessment and input from the patient and family.
- Advocates for patients, families, and significant others, the community, and the nursing profession.
- Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based research, current standards of practice, and clinical experience to provide quality patient care.
- Maintains overall knowledge of all patients’ status to assist nursing and medical teams and directs workflow for timely admission and discharge.
- Assumes the role of Charge Nurse as assigned, acting as a resource for unit personnel and resolving policy questions.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, conflict management, and customer service skills as a role model and problem solver.
- Recognizes and responds to patient care issues, providing direction and follow-up to staff and managers.
- Procures necessary clinical supplies and equipment; follows up on repairs and maintenance.
- Contributes to performance evaluation of unit personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Minimum of two to five years of RN experience and charge nurse experience in the Oncology (Med-Surg) unit preferred. Current ONS/BMT certification preferred.
