American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring 2 years of recent acute care experience and an active IL RN license.

• Medical Surgical unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No block scheduling available
• Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per month)
• No on-call requirements
• Mandatory float facility; may float to any unit or facility within 50 miles at the facility's discretion, including mid-shift floating with as little as 2 hours notice
• Uses Cerner charting system

• Active IL RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Proof of COVID vaccination required (booster not required)
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer

• Scrubs of any color are permitted
• RTO limited to 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive days
• No RTO approved on weekends, holidays, or the day before/after a holiday
• Local candidates accepted and preferred within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Must be willing to float outside primary area of competency; team-based support model used when floated outside specialty
