We’re seeking an experienced Dog Groomer to join our Culver City team. The ideal candidate is skilled, dependable, and passionate about creating an exceptional grooming experience for both dogs and their parents.
You’ll work closely with a supportive team, uphold Bowie’s grooming and safety standards, and play an important role in helping us continue to grow and refine the blueprint that defines Bowie Barker.

• Perform all grooming services from start to finish, including cutting, clipping, trimming, bathing, brushing and dematting, drying, nail grinding and clipping, and gland expression.
• Communicate with clients to understand preferences, ensure satisfaction, and provide educated upsells of our add‑ons and products that benefit their pup and enhance their overall experience.
• Maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment for both dogs and team members.
• Help train, coach, and support bathers and junior groomers as needed.
• Ensuring the physical safety of team members and dogs throughout service.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Bowie’s grooming protocols, quality standards, and timing expectations.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, grooming 7–10 dogs per day while maintaining Bowie’s elevated standards of care and excellence.
• This position may involve additional duties as necessary to maintain operational efficiency and security.

• Minimum 1 year of professional dog grooming experience (bathing and styling).
• Must have a true passion for dogs and a love for what you do.
• Strong understanding of breed cuts, coat care, and dog behavior.
• Excellent client communication and teamwork skills.
• Must have your own grooming tools (clippers, blades, scissors, brushes, combs, etc.) — we provide quarterly tool maintenance.
• Able to stand for long hours (no heavy lifting — all tubs have walk‑up ramps and tables are hydraulic!).
• Someone who’s always looking to elevate their skills and grow with the brand.
• Flexible and eager to learn Bowie standard systems and processes, including safety protocols, quality expectations, service timing, and overall flow.
• A positive, reliable, and coachable attitude — we value consistency, professionalism, and kindness as much as skill.

$24.00–$28.00/hour + Tip (based on experience)
