Quality Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and hands‑on Quality Manager to ensure our food products meet the highest standards of safety, consistency, and quality. This role will oversee quality assurance and control across all production phases and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System to ensure regulatory compliance and product consistency.
  • Lead quality assurance and control protocols across raw materials, in‑process checks, and finished products.
  • Conduct audits, traceability checks, and corrective/preventive actions to address quality deviations.
  • Manage product testing and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for audits or inspections.
  • Collaborate with Operations to integrate quality improvements and lean principles into daily workflows.
  • Train and mentor staff in quality standards, GMP, sanitation, and safety practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, customers, and regulatory inspectors.
  • Promote a plant‑wide culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing or production environments.
  • Familiarity with SQF, HACCP, GFSI standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and guide cross‑functional teams.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
