The position will be based in Chicago, Illinois at Magellan’s corporate office.

Magellan offers a competitive range of compensation and benefits for eligible full-time employees:
- Annual Base Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 based on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications

- Support all aspects of the development process, including site acquisition, financing, governmental approvals, design and construction oversight, sales and marketing strategy, and exit/recapitalization.
- Underwrite new development opportunities, including creation of market analyses, business plans, operating plans and projections, development budgets, and capitalization strategies.
- Create and maintain financial models for projects to inform development and ongoing asset management decision making.
- Research zoning and site encumbrances on prospective development projects.
- Compile and maintain market research on supply/demand fundamentals and competitive set analysis for each targeted property type/submarket.
- Evaluate capitalization and financing strategies.
- Prepare internal and external communication for transactions, including investment committee memoranda, offering memoranda for financings and sales, and responses to requests for proposals.
- Manage governmental filings for incentives programs such as TIFs, tax abatements, and grants, including applications and ongoing reporting
- Experience in real estate financial modeling in the areas of development, private equity, investment sales, and/or debt platforms

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related field. 2+ years of experience in real estate, private equity, investment sales, and/or debt platforms.
