Job OverviewAre you a dynamic, financially savvy real estate professional looking to take the next step in your asset management career? An established and highly respected real estate investment and operating platform is seeking a Senior Asset Management Analyst to join its team in Chicago. This role will play a key part in driving asset performance across a national portfolio of retail and mixed‑use properties.
You’ll work closely with Asset Managers, JV partners, and cross‑functional teams to optimize asset value and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting all aspects of the asset lifecycle, from leasing to development, operations, and capital markets activity.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual business plans, budgets, reforecasts, and board presentations.
- Performing hold/sell, leasing, and valuation analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Preparing investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting joint venture reporting and approval processes, including lease approvals and capital tracking.
- Leading retail market research initiatives to guide portfolio strategies.
- Mentoring and training junior analysts, promoting best practices across the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate, asset management, investments, banking, or private equity. (Retail experience is a plus.)
- Advanced skills in Argus, Excel, and PowerPoint; DCF modeling proficiency required.
- Deep understanding of real estate valuation, leasing strategy, and market fundamentals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, think strategically, and communicate effectively across teams and with JV partners.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving.
