Asset Management Associate

This Asset Management Associate role supports day-to-day oversight of a real estate portfolio by helping evaluate property performance, maintain core reporting rhythms, and coordinate across internal and third-party stakeholders. The position sits within an owner/operator asset management function and is oriented toward monitoring business plan execution, surfacing risks and variances, and supporting decision-making with market context and financial analysis. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the role partners closely with property management and leadership to keep asset-level information, documentation, and key deliverables organized and decision-ready.

• Monitor asset-level performance versus business plans, budgets, and underwriting and flag variances and risks
• Maintain recurring asset management reporting packages, including operating metrics, leasing status, and capital project updates
• Coordinate with property management teams on revenue management, operating initiatives, and tenant/lease administration items impacting performance
• Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecast processes; track key assumptions and drivers at the property level
• Assist with capital planning and execution, including prioritization of projects, tracking of spend, and documentation of approvals
• Prepare market and competitive set research to inform leasing strategy, rent assumptions, and hold/sell analysis
• Contribute to valuation and scenario analysis for refinancings, dispositions, and portfolio strategy decisions
• Organize asset documentation and investor/lender deliverables, including narrative updates and data request coordination
