Job Summary

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a motivated and collaborative postdoctoral scientist to conduct transformative research in the laboratory of Dr. Shannon Lauberth. The successful candidate will join a team advancing basic and translational studies in cancer epigenetics, focusing on the immune response's protumor activities that challenge effective immunotherapies. The lab, located in the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center in downtown Chicago, utilizes approaches such as RNA-Seq, PRO-Seq, ChIP-Seq, and CyTOF to identify genetic and epigenetic alterations linked to proinflammatory signaling and tumor driver mutations in p53.

Functional validation will involve molecular biology techniques in vitro and in vivo using human cancer cell lines and patient-derived organoids.
