Job SummaryThe Moskowitz Laboratory seeks a Research Specialist II to support multidisciplinary projects focused on gene regulatory networks that control organ development and adult organ homeostasis. The role requires the development of independent competence in basic research approaches and includes both technical support activities and independent advancement of scientific research projects. The position is at-will and fully funded through contractual grant funding, with employment contingent upon continued grant support and satisfactory job performance.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing or amending study protocols, data collection tools, and databases; provide general administrative support.
- Maintain technical and administrative support for research projects.
- Analyze and maintain data and specimens, conduct literature reviews, and assist with preparation of reports, manuscripts, and other documents.
- Install, set up, and perform experiments under the direction of the principal investigator, interacting with students and laboratory staff.
- Perform other related work as needed.
Minimum requirement: college or university degree in a related field.
Work ExperienceMinimum requirement: knowledge and skills developed through less than two years of work experience in a related discipline.

- CRISPR genetic engineering
- Rapid protein degradation using Degron system
- Bioinformatics
- Cardiac functional analyses

- Cell culture experience
- Protein–protein interaction analysis using mass spectrometry
- Laboratory setting
