Job Summary The Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the rank of associate or full professor, with a focus on experimental studies of materials under extreme conditions, including quantum materials. This strategic hire is intended to strengthen and expand materials research collaborations across UIC and with national laboratories, including Argonne National Laboratory (and the APS), Brookhaven National Laboratory (and NSLS-II), other U.S. Department of Energy laboratories, and partner universities through major interdisciplinary research centers and funded cooperative agreements.

The anticipated start date is Fall 2027.
