Public Health, Research Analyst, Research Assistant/Associate
The Habitat for Humanity Healthy Housing Research and Policy Internship is open to graduate students who are pursuing a degree in public health, health policy, environmental health, global health, or urban health and implementation science. To be considered for this role, you should understand social determinants of health and population health frameworks, evidence grading, and qualitative research methods. You should be able to read, evaluate, and synthesize peer-reviewed public health literature and be able to write well for non-academic audiences — development practitioners, donors, NGO leaders.
As an intern, you will contribute directly to an evidence base and a technical framework. You will bolster the growing body of evidence that housing conditions are among the most powerful and modifiable social determinants of health outcomes. You will also consolidate data and evidence around thermal comfort and heat-related illness, vector-borne disease and structural housing modifications, indoor air quality and respiratory health, climate resilience and disaster risk, and WASH integration that points to the contributions of housing conditions and health.
This internship is offered on a fully-remote basis.
