Food Service Worker at Arami Midway

North American Concessions in Chicago, IL is looking for Food Service Workers to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

• Aid cooks in preparing meals and plating food as requested by the chef or other supervising employee.
• Help cooks with food preparation duties for the day by cutting, peeling, or slicing as needed.
• Greet and take customer orders, remember special requests, and deliver food in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive demeanor when dealing with restaurant patrons, fielding all complaints promptly, answering questions, and making meal suggestions when asked.
• Assist with cleaning the restaurant and dining area by picking up trash, and wiping down tables and countertops as needed.
• Adhere to food safety standards at all times, making sure that all food is free or contaminants and pathogens that might make customers sick.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Other duties as assigned

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with a variety of restaurant patrons
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance
• Must have a current/unexpired Food Handlers certificate
• Must have a current/unexpired Allergens Certificate
• Must be able to pass a background check processed by the Chicago Department of Aviation's badging division.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a positive attitude and to be able to get along with coworkers as well as guests.
• Must have Open Availability to work.

• Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Vision Insurance

  are offered after employees pass their 90-day probationary period, and if elected, it will begin on the first day of the month following the passage of the probationary period.

• PTO

  (Paid Time Off):
  
  Employees will receive 80 hours of PTO after accruing a full year of full-time service.
  
  Employees are permitted to begin using accrued PTO time after they work a minimum of six (6) months.
  
  PTO will increase at the five (5) year mark and at the ten (10) year mark.

• Paid Sick Time

  Employees receive 40 hours of Paid Sick Time per year and they are permitted to start using it after they pass their 90-day probationary period.
