At Irving Park Living and Rehab, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals to our residents and staff. ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook a variety of meals, including entrees, sides, and desserts, in accordance with our residents' dietary needs and preferences
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards
Follow written and oral instructions concerning food preparation, including meal planning, menu planning, and food storage
Demonstrate knowledge of food service and sanitation procedures, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal
Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time throughout the day
Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor and Administrator to ensure all meals and snacks are prepared and served in a timely and appetizing manner
1 year of experience as a cook in a food service setting
Food service and sanitation license and/or certification
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time throughout the day
Familiarity with seasoning, cooking time required, and characteristics of various cuts of meat, poultry, fish, grains, fruits, and vegetables
