Customer Service Associate - Temporary

Overview

Walgreens is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience in a full‑time retail environment.

• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Registers sales on the assigned cash register, collects cash, distributes change, and processes voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommends items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items.
• Makes sure counters, shelves, and the photo area are clean, well merchandised, and properly stocked.
• Performs inventory, pricing, and merchandising assignments as directed by the shift leader or store manager.
• Implements asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Complies with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
• Assists with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition.
• Attends training and completes performance improvement requests (PPLs) as required.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred:
  At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Preferred:
  Prior work experience with Walgreens.
