Essential Job Functions:

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to pack at least five items per bag, ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather shopping carts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, and collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store's layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a reasonable, non-confrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
