OverviewThe Sales Account Representative will be responsible for leading and managing the sales process to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the metal manufacturing industry, a proven track record in sales leadership and the ability to drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by maintaining and developing the existing customers relationship.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's new customer base and ensures its strong presence in the market.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status and expanding new products markets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or automotive or aluminum related field experience.
- 3+ years of outside sales experience or similar relevant position within the non-ferrous metal industry preferred.
- Sales experience in light weight raw materials is highly preferred.
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Previous experience is required in developing new customers as well as maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of CRM systems and best practices.
- Basic logistics knowledge will be a plus.
- ERP system or Salesforce experience will be a plus.
- Primarily an on-site position in downtown Chicago with 1 day per week remote
- Domestic travel 30%
