Account Manager, Southest

Join Ingredion Incorporated as an Account Manager in the Midwest region, working remotely. This role reports to the Senior Sales Manager, T&HS, Midwest, and focuses on driving market presence and revenue growth.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
  • Develop strategic account plans to create long‑term value for customers, including objectives, milestones, and specific opportunities.
  • Build strong multi‑level relationships with key accounts, selling products, services, and alternative solutions to create competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with management to develop business plans, demand forecasts, and sales strategies, leveraging technical knowledge of food ingredients to present value selling concepts.
  • Partner with Technical Service, Marketing, Growth Platforms, and other stakeholders to close new opportunities and conduct market analysis.
  • Advise customers on innovative solutions, design trial plans, and drive product and application development.
  • Create solutions based on customer needs, quantify value, and identify opportunities for product or innovation adoption.
  • Lead contract negotiations, manage proposals, RFPs, and pricing accuracy through the PROS system.
  • Manage the sales budget, control expenses, and maintain accurate sales activity records in Salesforce.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, and communicate insights to support sales initiatives and product development.
What You Will Bring (Experience and Knowledge)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Food Science, Chemical Engineering) or business; MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of direct or technical sales experience, ideally in the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex accounts and delivering results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver technical and business presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Knowledgeable in financial dealings with customer accounts and proficient in negotiation.
  • Ability to engage in problem‑solving conversations with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
    Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Compensation

Base salary range: $ – $ annual, plus incentive compensation and benefits. Pay is based on experience, education, and market data. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
