Join UL Solutions to lead the Pre‑Sales Solution Architecture team, delivering innovative, science‑driven safety solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of technical sales support and lead generation, providing support to a global sales team.
• Maintain awareness of the broader strategy for Advisory sales, based on high level service knowledge and frequent interactions with customers and account management teams.
• Support primary sellers in relationship building, lending technical credibility to customers.
• Provide technical and administrative support to key accounts.
• Identify areas for key account growth and work with Sales and Operations teams to implement business development strategies.
• Work hands‑on with customers to gather solution requirements, demonstrating and communicating project implementation best practices.
• Interface with technical customer personnel to communicate the value of the solution in detail.
• Deliver technical presentations of offerings to customers and prospects.
• Assist with scope creation based on customer requirements.
• Provide sales support as a subject matter expert to the sales team and for inbound opportunities.
• Work with account teams, providing new perspectives to existing and prospective customers and Sales Executives to demonstrate the value of UL services.
• Leverage technical knowledge to partner with Sales Executives to drive overall solution win.
• Develop and implement sales plays targeting previous, existing, and prospective customers to drive new business.
• Create and maintain metrics documenting performance levels for each sales play.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Support hand‑off to Operations team to ensure proper scope execution.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in a scientific or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Management experience.
• Relevant technical capabilities in the built environment.
• Deep knowledge and experience with assigned specialty Advisory services.
• Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.

Total Rewards
Estimated annual compensation for this position is $106,500 – $120,700, which includes a base salary of $75,000 – $85,000 and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 42% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401(k)) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full‑time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
