About the Role

The Account Manager role is an exciting opportunity to showcase your relationship management, sales, and strategic account growth skills. This role focuses on post‑sales engagement with small‑to‑medium‑sized businesses, including restaurants and other local merchants.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with a high‑value portfolio of restaurant partners and retain and grow a book of SMB accounts on the Uber Eats platform.
  • Establish and proactively maintain communication channels with merchant partners via email, phone, and face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through product adoption, location expansion, and upsell merchants on marketing products (ads, promotions, etc.).
  • Build processes and standardize best practices within merchant success and your territory.
  • Identify key risks to our partnerships and work quickly to ensure 100% account retention.
  • Partner with Operations and Sellers to manage relationships, issues, and questions of merchants.
  • Track merchant KPI and OKR to understand their success, issues, or opportunities, and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Apply a KPI & OKR‑centric methodology to generate team awareness of measurable results.
  • Excel in vendor management and training of new merchant features or products.
  • Act as an ambassador of Uber Eats’ mission, brand, and product, ensuring partners understand and leverage our platform’s full potential.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, operations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data proficiency: ability to take commercial data and make it digestible to merchants (charts, graphs, visuals).
  • Experience navigating the customer lifecycle, including prospecting new contacts and upsell opportunities within an existing client organization.
  • Self‑starter attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, autonomous team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly frame a value proposition, probe for objections, remove obstacles, and gain commitment.
  • Willingness to hustle, roll‑up sleeves, and get in the weeds with our highest‑value partners to hit quarterly and annual revenue, retention, and adoption targets.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify opportunities and creatively problem‑solve for restaurant needs.
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize based on impact.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Google Suite experience preferable.
Compensation and Benefits

For Chicago‑based roles:
The total annualized on‑target earnings (OTE) are USD $89,286 – $99,286, including a base salary of USD $62,500 – $69,500 and a variable incentive target of USD $26,786 – $29,786. The cash variable incentive target depends on individual sales performance and payment terms. Equity awards and other compensation may be offered. You will also be eligible for benefits.
