The Light Industrial Sales Manager is a field‑based role responsible for driving growth within an assigned territory. This position blends new business development with ongoing account management, using a consultative sales approach to support customers’ operational and technical needs.
This role works closely with internal service and sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial engagement through execution and long‑term support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through networking, outreach, and territory planning
- Manage and expand relationships with existing industrial customers
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment or service solutions
- Coordinate with internal teams to support smooth handoff from sales to service
- Act as a trusted point of contact to address customer questions or issues
- Maintain strong organization, follow‑up, and time management across the territory
Qualifications / Skills
- Experience in outside or field‑based sales, preferably selling industrial vacuums, pumps, or air compressors into industrial markets
- Mechanical or technical aptitude; exposure to industrial equipment is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Self‑motivated, independent, and comfortable managing a sales territory
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with standard business software; CRM experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the assigned territory
