The Role

Summary:

The Area Sales Associate (ASA) is a developmental field sales role for high-performing sales professionals eager to break into the medical aesthetics industry.

You'll work alongside a Regional Sales Director and Sr Area Sales Manager to expand Geneo's reach, support customer relationships, and drive both capital and consumable sales within your assigned territory.

This role is ideal for someone with 2+years of sales experience in a related or parallel industry-such as medical device, skincare, pharmaceutical, hospitality, or wellness-who is passionate about beauty, skin health, and helping providers grow their business.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support Territory Growth: Partner with your Area Sales Manager to meet and exceed territory sales goals across capital equipment and consumables.
  • Pipeline Development: Research and qualify new prospects; initiate outreach via phone, email, events, and in-person visits to build territory pipeline.
  • Customer Engagement: Build authentic relationships with med-spas, dermatology and plastic surgery practices, and luxury spas; understand their business goals and identify Geneo solutions to meet them.
  • Sales Enablement: Assist with demos, proposals, and follow-up communication to close deals and onboard new customers.
  • Consumables Management: Monitor customer reorder patterns, support retention strategies, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • CRM Discipline: Log activity, leads, and updates accurately in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) to maintain visibility and ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Event Support: Represent Geneo at trade shows, industry events, and training sessions to promote brand awareness and generate new leads.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to deliver a seamless customer experience from sale to post-install support.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and mentorship to deepen product knowledge, sales skills, and industry expertise.
  • This role requires frequent travel within the assigned region (typically 60-70%). Evening events or occasional weekends may be required for customer trainings or regional meetings.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of outside or inside sales experience, ideally in a consultative or relationship-driven environment.
  • Background in medical device, skincare, pharmaceutical, hospitality, or wellness industries preferred.
  • Strong interest in entering the medical aesthetics space and building a long-term career within it.
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and develop customer relationships that lead to measurable results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident speaking with business owners and clinical professionals.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
