Geek Powered Studios helps small business owners win specialize in high-ticket home services — HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical — and healthcare. We're a partner to the businesses we serve, never just an expense.
We chase Quality + Impact
, we're Customer-Obsessed
, and we have a hard Bias to Action
. We Geek. You Profit.
We make other people's phones ring for a living. Ours doesn't ring often enough on the outbound side.
We have an outbound sales operation. It is not good enough. The scripts are unproven, the cadences are inconsistent, and we can't yet tell you which part of the funnel is leaking. We're not going to pretend otherwise, and we're not looking for someone to inherit a machine that already works.
What You'll Own- Personally cold call U.S. businesses. Not occasionally. Daily, from week one, until the process is proven.
- Audit the existing outbound operation and tell us plainly what's broken.
- Write, test, and rewrite cold-call openers, scripts, pitches, and objection handling — based on your own calls, not theory.
- Build outbound calling and follow-up cadences that hold up when someone else runs them.
- Develop the outbound offer and messaging alongside marketing.
- Establish baseline KPIs and daily/weekly/monthly activity expectations.
- Review call recordings and run real coaching sessions — not pep talks.
- Build SOPs, onboarding, and training so a new SDR ramps in weeks, not quarters.
- Eventually hire, manage, and hold accountable a team of roughly 2–5 SDRs.
We'd rather you self-select out now than be surprised later.
- You are building the plane and flying it. For the first several months you're making the calls and writing the scripts and building the reporting and fixing the CRM workflow. There is no ops team to hand this to. If your last role gave you an enablement function, a Rev Ops partner, and a warm list, this will feel like a step backward.
- You're inheriting a mess, not a machine. Some of what exists will need to be thrown out. You'll spend your first month finding out what doesn't work by doing it yourself, which is uncomfortable and slower than you'd like.
- You will get hung up on. Home service owners are busy, protective of their time, and have been pitched by twelve marketing agencies this month. Your first weeks of call data will be ugly. You need to find that interesting, not demoralizing.
- Nobody is going to tell you what to do next. You'll be expected to walk in and say:
here's what's broken, here's what we're changing, here's how we'll test it, and here's how we'll know if it worked.
- Qualified opportunities generated — not raw meetings on a calendar.
- Meeting show rate and meeting quality. A no-show isn't a meeting.
- Stage-to-stage conversion rates — and whether they improve month over month.
- Pipeline and outbound-sourced revenue.
- Ramp time and performance of the SDRs you train. If you can only sell it yourself, you haven't built anything.
We care about qualified opportunities and revenue. Maximizing dials and meeting count while conversion stays flat is not success here.
Who You AreYou're a fit if:
- You have 3+ years of B2B outbound sales experience. Three years is the floor, no exceptions.
- You have made thousands of cold calls to U.S.
-based businesses and are still willing to. - You speak fluent, professional English with a clear, neutral accent on the phone. You will be calling American business owners all day. If they have to ask you to repeat yourself, the call is over.
- You've coached SDRs or BDRs using actual call recordings — you can pull up a call and tell someone exactly where they lost it.
- You've built or meaningfully rebuilt an outbound process, not just executed someone else's.
- You think in conversion rates…
