Job Description & How to Apply Below
Business Development Representative (BDR)

Risk Exec is a rapidly growing SaaS company that delivers a best-in-class compliance analytics and reporting platform to help financial institutions and lenders comply with key government regulations and unlock new growth opportunities.

What We’re Building

At Risk Exec, we’re building a world class Compliance and Business Intelligence Platform trusted by regulated financial institutions including banks, credit unions, and fintech lenders. We help our clients confidently navigate complex regulatory requirements while achieving business growth. Our high-performing team thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires maximum professionalism, flexibility, and responsiveness. We value driven individuals who embrace ownership and accountability, excel at collaborating closely with teammates, and dedicate themselves fully to delivering exceptional outcomes.

Role Overview

Risk Exec provides the compliance analytics and reporting platform that banks, credit unions, and mortgage lenders use to manage HMDA, CRA, Fair Lending, Redlining, Community Development, and SBL/1071 requirements.

This role exists now because Risk Exec is adding Account Executive capacity, and first-meeting demand is growing faster than the current outbound motion. You join an established BDR team, reporting to the BDR Manager, at the point where the outbound operating model is being built.

This BDR role creates qualified pipeline in a market where the buyer is skeptical, the product is technical, and credibility matters. You will open conversations with compliance, risk, CRA, and lending leaders at regulated institutions, and turn targeted outreach into first meetings that progress.

This is not spray and pray outreach. You will win through real research, a disciplined process, and enough product and regulatory fluency to handle second- and third-level questions from compliance professionals.

We are currently considering candidates based in the Chicago, IL and Washington, DC.

What You Will Own
  • Net-new pipeline . Book first meetings with qualified stakeholders at institutions in your assigned segments and ideal customer profile (ICP), measured against your monthly quota.
  • Outbound execution . Research depth, personalization, sequencing discipline, and follow-through across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Meeting quality . Set meetings that are held, progress, and convert to qualified pipeline. Volume without quality does not count.
  • Discovery-level qualification . Confirm fit, timing, pain, and next steps before handoff, using Risk Exec's Sales Process Framework and MEDDPICC-based discovery criteria.
  • Clean handoffs . Give Account Executives full context in Hub Spot so they can run Discovery without repeating your work.
  • Product and domain fluency . Explain what each module supports (HMDA, CRA, Fair Lending, Redlining, Community Development, SBL/1071) without overstating capabilities or offering regulatory advice.
  • CRM integrity . Accurate activity logging, notes, stages, and next actions in Hub Spot. Your pipeline is inspectable.
  • Continuous improvement . Test messaging and targeting, use conversion data to adjust, and share what you learn from the field with sales and marketing.
How You Will Drive Impact
  • Execution model: you run a daily outbound cadence: build target lists and research accounts, run multi-channel sequences, follow up, and keep Hub Spot current. You are held to activity standards, and quality is reviewed alongside counts. Specific activity standards and quotas are set in your performance plan.
  • Where you have the most impact: partnership with the sales team, the first 30 seconds of a conversation, objection handling, and consistent follow-through.
  • Operating rhythm: weekly 1:1s with the BDR Manager, regular call reviews, clear activity expectations, and measurable improvement targets.
Cross-Functional and Executive Interfaces
  • BDR Manager: day-to-day coaching, call reviews, and ramp support.
  • Account Executives: handoffs, feedback on lead quality, and deal context. You own first-meeting creation; AEs own the sales cycle from the first meeting forward.
  • Marketing: campaign alignment, messaging, and content for outreach.
  • Revenue leadership (Mike Del Vecchio, CRO) : pipeline expectations and commercial alignment.

Natural tensions you will manage: volume vs. quality (Risk Exec measures outcomes, not just activity), speed vs. rigor on a federally regulated product, and curiosity vs. script dependence. You must think, not…
