Our Story

The Chicago Cubs franchise, a charter member of Major League Baseball’s National League since 1876, has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in 1907 and 1908. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports.

Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916.

How You’ll Contribute

The Chicago Cubs Security Staff plays a vital role in delivering a best-in-class fan experience to guests of Wrigley Field. Our Event Staff are energetic, engaging, passionate, personable, and welcoming. Through the lens of service, we seek candidates who are focused on the guest experience and strive to create best-in-class customer service for our loyal fans while supporting the execution of a variety of unique events across the Wrigley Field campus.

We are looking to welcome new Security Staff members to our teams for our 2026 events season.

Interview & Hiring Timeline: interviews with qualified candidates are anticipated to take place at the end of January and monthly throughout the summer.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service via the Cubs service brand.
  • Assist guests with security screening, bag checking, greeting, locating seats and answering questions about Wrigley Field.
  • Resolve guest concerns and special requests within the framework provided via the Seasonal Associate Handbook and training, while upholding the “Wrigley Field Fan Code of Conduct”.
  • Promote a safe and enjoyable experience, identify, respond to, and report safety risks, inappropriate behavior or medical situations through functional hierarchy.
  • Assist in maintaining order and act as on‑scene authority in situations where conflict or disorder may arise.
  • Use knowledge from trainings and resources available to engage fans and guests to deliver exceptional service.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed and as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Responsible for adhering to the Chicago Cubs Use of Force policy and utilizing the proper techniques that were demonstrated in appropriate situations.
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated ability to create unique personal interactions.
  • Ability to work the minimum number of hours per season including nights, weekends and holidays throughout the year.
  • Demonstrated ability to address and resolve conflict including but not limited to verbal and physical tactics.
  • Able to perform the following physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, climb flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk/run up and down ramps, walk and stand for extended periods of time, assist guests up and down stairs, wipe down seats in sections daily, distribute promotional items, scan tickets/IDs and give appropriate directions.
  • Ability to work the minimum number of events per season including days, nights, and weekends.
