Job Description As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Route in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. As an unarmed patrol officer at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a secure environment for tenants and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or designated site contacts.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain order within the location.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to address client concerns and support a secure environment.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
