As a Security Officer – Commercial Real Estate Patrols in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, supporting a secure environment for tenants and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct regular rounds, remain visible, and respond to situations as needed. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Tue 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Sun 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed.
• Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or site representatives regarding any incidents or concerns.
• Prepare accurate and detailed written reports of incidents, observations, and/or activities as required.

• Experience in customer service, access control or badge systems, and comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
