Hours:

This is a PRN day shift position and the scheduled hours / days will be as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of functions related to the safety and security of hospital staff, patients, families, visitors and general public in accordance with city, state and federal laws and regulations.

Protect and serve Shriners Children's patients, visitors, staff and all other persons on hospital property

Protect the organizations' property and buildings

Greet and assist visitors, patients, employees and medical staff at the front lobby desk in a pleasant and professional manner

Answer and route telephone calls received, page and take messages as appropriate.

Answer phone calls from hospital staff members and respond to their needs or requests in a respectful and timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma / GED Illinois driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

One year security experience

International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification 20 Hour PERC card Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
