Hours:
This is a PRN day shift position and the scheduled hours / days will be as needed.
*
* Key Responsibilities:
*** Performs a variety of functions related to the safety and security of hospital staff, patients, families, visitors and general public in accordance with city, state and federal laws and regulations.
* Protect and serve Shriners Children's patients, visitors, staff and all other persons on hospital property
* Protect the organizations' property and buildings
* Greet and assist visitors, patients, employees and medical staff at the front lobby desk in a pleasant and professional manner
* Answer and route telephone calls received, page and take messages as appropriate.
* Answer phone calls from hospital staff members and respond to their needs or requests in a respectful and timely manner.

* Required Qualifications:
*** High School diploma / GED
* Illinois driver's license
*
* Preferred Qualifications:
*** One year security experience
* International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification 20 Hour PERC card
