Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Diagnose and repair Class 8 heavy‑duty diesel trucks
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services on rear loaders, front loaders, roll‑offs, tractors, and box trucks
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose and repair equipment including forklifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders
• Complete truck overhauls and rebuilds of retired units
• Perform welding and metal fabrication as needed (welding experience preferred but not required)
• Assist with general asset maintenance as required
• Occasionally respond to road calls for on‑site repairs
• Accurately complete and review maintenance paperwork
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of truck repair experience
• Experience working with Mack, Kenworth, and Peterbilt trucks
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and ABS systems
• Must have own tools
• CDL Class B license is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze component parts and systems on trucks and tractor‑trailers
• Welding experience preferred
• Must be able to work the afternoon / 2nd shift
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions and in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. or more
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Able to work under moderate supervision and follow through on tasks
