Crew Chief

Service Master Cleaning DCS specializes in restoration services in Illinois (Chicago, Orland Park, Des Plaines), Wisconsin, and nearby regions. We are seeking a Restoration Crew Chief for residential and commercial fire and water clean‑up and restoration projects. Responsibilities include specialty mitigation services, water extraction, carpet and upholstery cleaning, mold abatement, vandalism clean‑up, fire and smoke damage mitigation, and content move‑outs and pack‑ins. The Restoration Crew Chief will also oversee and support Restoration Technicians assigned to the project. The pay range for this position is $18–22 per hour, with certifications and experience allowing for negotiation.

• Maintains a positive professional attitude with customers and fellow workers.
• Ensures all paperwork standards are adhered to.
• Responsible for collection of money after job completion as per company protocols.
• Performs regular equipment maintenance, including truck mount and portable equipment.
• Prepares truck for the next day operations and project work.
• Ensures proper customer satisfaction survey is completed after job completion.
• Performs services in warehouse, office, and field as and when requested.
• Performs all cleaning and service delivery services without supervision.
• Utilizes Crew Helper or other team members effectively.
• Responsible for regular maintenance of the assigned vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in working condition through scheduled maintenance.

• Experience in restoration or carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Previous experience as a Crew Chief in a fire and flood restoration company preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel out of town.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
• Water Restoration Tech Certification (WRT) preferred.
