Facility Maintenance Technician

Role Overview :

The Facility Maintenance Technician will be performing preventative maintenance and repairs on motors, pumps, compressors and miscellaneous items/needs around the facility.

Location:

803 East 120th St., Chicago, IL 60628. This is a Union location.

Shift

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour, dependent on experience

Position Responsibilities:

* Perform preventive maintenance on motors, motor controls, pumps and compressors.

* Will assist with electrical work

* 20K pumps preventative maintenance

* Welding experience - MIG / TIG for some of spinner parts, hot water vats (welding certification is nice to have, but not required)

* Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes, wastewater

* Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

* Ability to wear a respirator

* Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* 5-10+ years of experience

* Read and comprehend measurements, and job sheets

* Work experience in an industrial setting

* Experience in general maintenance, good mechanical aptitude, able to work on multiple tasks and the ability to follow direction is required

* Must have a valid Drivers License

* Industrial and Commercial work experience is a plus

* Exposure to various skilled trades (i.e., mechanical, electrical, etc.).

* High school diploma or GED
