Kitchen Tune-Up of Grand Rapids is a locally owned kitchen and bath remodeling company with steady sold work across West Michigan. We're lining up independent contractors for kitchen and bathroom remodeling — people who do good work and want consistent jobs without chasing bids. Kitchens and bathrooms both — and if your strength or preference leans to one or the other, that's fine too.

The work is indoors, in customers' homes across West Michigan.

Most work is paid by the job, not by the hour — and good contractors come out ahead that way, because the more skilled and efficient you are, the higher your time works out to. Our contract partners typically land between $35 and $50 an hour for their time. A few things are paid hourly when that fits the job better.

• New kitchens and full bathrooms, installed start to finish
• New cabinet installation — the core of most of our installs, and the one skill we can't do without
• Crown molding, hardware, roll-out trays, and accessories
• Also in the mix: cabinet refacing, and on some jobs broader work — tile, flooring, drywall, light electrical — for contractors who do it

• Remodeling experience — kitchens, bathrooms, or both, whether that's a few strong years or twenty. What counts is proven ability and drive, not the number
• You install new cabinets well — that's a requirement, not the whole job
• Broader skills are a real plus — the more you can cover beyond the cabinets, the more work we can send you
• Licensed and insured (general liability)
• Your own tools and vehicle
• W-9 on file; work is paid on a 1099 basis
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, able to pass a background check
• Finish quality that matches your name being on the work

• Sold jobs ready to schedule — consistent work, no bidding, no chasing leads
• We design in house and supply the products — you didn't sell it and you didn't source it
• A field supervisor and office team behind you — when something shows up wrong, we work the problem with you; you're not left alone in front of the customer
