Clear Creek DCS is looking for an experienced Field Technician II to help clean and flush water pipes and cooling systems in data centers. In this role, you will set up and run flushing systems, perform chemical cleaning, test water quality, and record results.

You will work with pumps, filters, hoses, and other equipment to make sure piping systems meet project requirements. You will also help solve equipment problems and guide less experienced technicians. This role is a good fit for someone with mechanical skills who can work on their own and help lead a field team.

What You’ll Do

Set up, connect, test, and operate pumps, filters, hoses, and temporary piping systems.

Follow project plans to flush water pipes and cooling systems at the required flow rates.

Perform chemical cleaning, degreasing, and passivation of piping systems by following approved procedures.

Add and monitor cleaning chemicals and help manage safe chemical use and disposal.

Collect water samples and test water quality, including pH, iron, and other key measures.

Review piping drawings and diagrams to understand system layouts and plan equipment connections.

Check filters and replace filter bags and cartridges when needed.

Track dirt and other solids removed from piping systems during flushing.

Complete water test records, chemical logs, shift reports, and other project documents.

Work with general contractors, mechanical contractors, and commissioning teams to support project goals.

Identify and fix common equipment problems, such as low water flow, air in pumps, and clogged filters.

Train and guide Field Technician I team members and help them learn safe work methods.

Follow company, client, and job site safety rules, including lockout/tagout and chemical handling procedures.

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED.

At least one year of hands‑on experience in pipe flushing, chemical cleaning, HVAC systems, water treatment, pipe fitting, or similar mechanical work.

Working knowledge of pumps, valves, pipes, filters, and basic water chemistry.

Ability to read piping drawings, system diagrams, and written work instructions.

OSHA 10 certification required. OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening for data center site access.

Basic computer skills to complete digital forms, test records, and reports.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% of the time for projects that may last several weeks or months.

Experience flushing chilled water, condenser water, or technology cooling systems in data centers or similar facilities.

Experience supporting commissioning work and meeting project testing and acceptance requirements.

A DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.

Work Environment and Schedule

Work at active data center construction sites and operating data centers.

Travel overnight for projects that may last several weeks or months at one site.

Work shifts that usually last 10–12 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work around noise, dust, vibration, wet surfaces, and hot or cold conditions.

Work near mechanical equipment and in tight spaces that may require kneeling, climbing ladders, and using stairs.

Lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, including pumps, hoses, filters, and piping parts.

Wear required safety gear, including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toe boots, and hearing protection.

Handle water treatment and cleaning chemicals by following safety rules and product instructions.

Follow site safety procedures when working with equipment, chemicals, and piping systems.
