About the Role
The Eligibility Coordinator in an exciting new position that plays a key role in helping individuals and families begin their journey with The Ark. This position ensures that every household is accurately and efficiently assessed for services while maintaining a respectful, empathetic experience. As one of the first points of contact for many clients, the Eligibility Coordinator sets the tone of compassion and dignity — collecting necessary documentation, determining eligibility, and helping connect clients to the right supports.

What You’ll Do
- Complete household eligibility assessments
- Collect and verify required documents (income, residency, identification)
- Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce and other systems
- Determine eligibility for programs such as food, case management, and medical/dental care
- Collaborate with case managers and other staff to ensure smooth client onboarding
- Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required; MSW preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills with an emphasis on kindness and compassion
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social services, intake, or eligibility assessment
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar databases
- Commitment to confidentiality, cultural humility, and professionalism
- Appreciation for Jewish values and traditions
