The Intact Family Services Case Manager provides in‑home services to identify service needs while assessing child and family safety. Under the assigned supervisor, the case manager delivers direct casework management, counseling, or mental health services to children and families within agency policies and program contexts, applying human service principles in developing relationships, assessments, and service plans.
RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s in Human Services or a related field required.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of field experience preferred.
Licensure: CWEL – Child Welfare Licensure preferred.
Other: Auto Insurance, Driver’s License, Physical Examination/TB.
Job Duties Include- Complete client assessments and strength‑based service plans, use the SACWICS data system, and coordinate community resources.
- Provide crisis intervention services and assist families in locating employment, housing, daycare, and basic needs.
- Arrange and/or provide transportation for family appointments (school, medical, etc.).
- Participate in court proceedings on behalf of the child and family, including testimony, hearings, and record preparation.
- Act as liaison with multiple public and private agencies to advocate and assist families’ service needs.
- Home‑based service experience and CWEL preferred.
- Function well in a team environment and work with outside collaborators.
- Demonstrate project management, organizational, and analytical skills, along with effective verbal, written, and listening communication.
- Maintain documentation, presentation, problem‑solving, and professional relationship‑building skills. Coverage spans multiple counties.
The program maintains and strengthens family units by providing in‑home services designed to prevent children from entering foster care. It works with family strengths, monitors family dynamics, and links families to community resources. Services include housing or school assistance, child development guidance, general case management, and a 24‑hour emergency response.
Services Offered- Case management – families receive weekly monitoring and linkages to needed services.
- Linkage with substance abuse treatment programs – referrals for both inpatient and outpatient drug treatment for all family members.
- In‑home counseling – weekly counseling for adults, children, couples, and families; referrals to community counseling as needed.
- Community linkage services – referrals to medical services, counseling, drug/alcohol treatment support groups, food pantries, housing, employment training, and continuing education programs.
- Tuition assistance up to $2,500 per year.
- Up to 4 weeks paid vacation; up to 6 paid personal days and up to 5 paid sick days annually.
