This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year, offering the chance to make a significant impact as a school-based Social Worker.
Responsibilities include conducting approximately 35-40 social work evaluations over the school year on a PRN (as needed) basis. There is an additional expectation to provide support through the creation of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) as required. You’ll collaborate with school staff and contribute professional expertise to build a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Preferred Qualifications and
Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid school social worker certification/licensure in Illinois
- Prior experience in a school setting conducting social/emotional evaluations is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in the development of BIPs and social/emotional assessment tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with educational staff and families
Key Duties and Expectations:
- Carry out in-depth social work evaluations (PRN, approximately 35-40 throughout the school year)
- Develop and help implement behavioral intervention plans as needed
- Document findings and recommendations clearly and promptly
- Provide insights to multidisciplinary teams for student support planning
- Support the overall social and emotional learning initiatives within the school

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $50.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
